Acme Party Box Company
I’m all for making my life as a parent (in fact, as a person) easier. That’s why I use paper napkins (sorry, mom, it’s true), don’t hand wash or line dry anything, and buy (or have our nanny) make the baby food.
Dirty little secrets of a busy momma. So you can imagine how much the Acme Party Box Company appeals to me. It’s sorta like when I first heard of a pony-keg in college – though, admittedly, party in a box meant an entirely different thing then.
So, this Acme Party Box. It’s just that – a pre-made box of everything you need for a party. They have kids party boxes, grown up party boxes, even all the things you’d need for a party sold separately. Now, I have yet to use one of these so I cannot fully attest to their greatness, but just the idea strikes me as a winner.
Like for my girl’s third birthday…I’m thinking of the Circus party box shown above. The birthday party won’t actually happen on the special day, but with kids parties, the party so rarely falls on the birthday that I feel that I’m safe not having my act together to have a party the second my child goes from being 2 and 11+months to being 3.
If I get the Circus box, then I can entertain 8 kiddos with cloth napkins (for real!), 12 feet of bunting (what exactly is bunting?), cotton favor bags (way cool, even though I have no idea what to put in them as favors), bamboo plates, glass mason drinking jars with tops AND straws (!), and finger puppets and pencils (these must be the favors for the favor bags – they think of everything!).
There is more…I could go on, but I’ve already convinced myself that paying the money for the box way simplifies my life. I mean, one click and I’ve done it…no running around for all this useless party stuff.
Oh, and did I mention the box comes with heirloom wooden toys as centerpieces made from sustainably forested hardwood trees and stained with water-based, non-toxic paint? Just think of how often these can be used.
Hello Acme!
Now, I just have to figure out what to serve. Will popcorn do or should I actually make something?
