Arne Jacobsen Modern Dollhouse and Furniture To Die For

Oh…..My…..God…..I want to move in to this house. Unfortunately, I think I’m a bit too big.

Minimii.com has a dollhouse for the minimalist, modern design lover in you and your child. Forget about mini-frou frou dollhouses complete with dark brown Victorian furniture and lacy curtains. If you love modern design, you have GOT to see this!

It’s designed to look like a real home and, in fact, it is. The dollhouse is an exact replica of Arne Jacobsen’s 1929 house, with a few modifications to make it easier to play with instead of live in.

But no matter. The floors are made of iron so that the art and accessories, including mini-lamps (actually, mini replicas of designer lamps that come with their own lithium battery) will remain in place AND light up. No messy cords, no moving the dollhouse near a wall socket.

And did I mention the furniture? There is an Arne Jacobsen Egg Chair, along with his most popular molded chair, a very sleek desk and numerous designer lamps.

It’s just stunning. But stunning comes at a price. In fact, you’ll have to ask what the price is as it’s not posted on the website. The old saying that comes to my mind is, “if you have to ask the price, then you can’t afford it.” A girl (and her mother) can dream, though.
