Crayon Rocks: Green, Soybean Crayons

Looking for a greener alternative to petroleum based crayons? I found these soybean crayon rocks at Red Apple School Supply where they have a decent array of environmentally friendly supplies for kids.

I especially like these crayon rocks because of their size – perfect for little hands. And, if your child is anything like mine, then you know she will eat whatever her little hands get ahold of. Well, wouldn’t you rather that be some soybean based product than petroleum based wax, though to be honest I don’t know the pros and cons of either.

Did I mention that these come in a cute little red velvet bag? Now isn’t that better than a cardboard box that inevitably gets torn, falls apart, an in general doesn’t hold the crayons for more than a few hours after you buy it?
