I love the vibrant colors underneath the plain white plate, cup and bowl. And, the matching utensils add a nice touch. I’ve actually been looking for something exactly like this. We have all white dinner plates and I like the simplicity of the white – it shows off the dinner and makes everything seem more appetizing to me.

These are designed by Japanese design superstar Naoto Fukasawa – who, I must confess, I have never heard of. But no matter, good design is good design. It’s kinda like pornography…I can’t define it but I know it when I see it.
