Stumbling around the internet looking for some content to chew on, I was happy to find that Forbes just released the top 100 sites for women. It re-opened my eyes to a few sites that I already knew and loved but have gone largely ignored (like Dooce.com, Mommytracked and Popsugar) but many many more (obviously there are 100!) that I had never heard of.
Like Oprah. Of course she has a website – she’s ubiquitous. But, seriously, if you like the Oprah magazine (even if you read it in secret) you’ll like the site. I’m actually not a huge Oprah fan, but when she’s got it, she’s got it. And it’s easier to sneak a peak at her website than to keep her magazine under wraps.
Other great new finds are Real Simple, Cafe Mom and She Finds. To be honest, the list is so long, it’s kind of overwhelming! Good to know that so many women are out there reaching out to other women – talking the talk AND walking the walk.
And, just because I want to, here are a few of my favorite sites that somehow (I have no idea how!) got missed: DesignMom, MightyGirl, and my fave (because it’s one that I contribute to) SmartMomPicks.
