Girls Night In

I know what you’re thinking. You’re thinking that I made a mistake and said “in” when I should have said “out” because us girls NEED a good girls night out once in awhile. True, we do. But I heard about a neat girls night idea that involved staying in: wine + wisdom.

There is a life coach named Suzannah Scully that I wish I knew who hosts these wine + wisdom events where women get together with their friends, open a bottle (or more!) of wine and not just gab but gab with a purpose. That purpose being finding clarity and creating an avenue to the life you always wanted. Call it friend therapy. God knows we all have friend therapy already, only in a much more informal way.

Now, you probably don’t need a life coach to help walk you through ways to find focus and clarity, but you might need one to help you make an action plan. I know I would. And coaches seem to know the right questions to ask – without coming across as judgmental.

While I’m not here extol the virtues of coaching, I thought I’d mention the idea of wine + wisdom because it sounds fun, doesn’t it?

Even just the getting together to stay in and talk with good friends part sounds great. I have a friend right now who could use some love therapy and another who could use some job therapy – so I could see doing this!

How about you – could you see staying in to have a group girls bitch with a purpose night?

This is fun. I wonder how much wisdom I can gain under a glass of wine, and if I do get wiser, how long it lasts?
