Goo Gone, Revisited
Posted on 02. Oct, 2009 by Kate in Home, Parenting

After just posting about 5 home remedies for removing crayon from the wall and conducting my own unofficial experiment, I have to say that the home remedies are for naught. They “work” kind of, but only with a lot, and I mean A LOT, of elbow grease.
Even then, the wall is left looking smeared. The baking soda basically was like scrubbing with velvet – nothing “abrasive” about it and therefore, it didn’t remove anything, just moved the color around some. The baby wipes did the most in terms of actually removing the crayon, but again, it was a smeared mess after.
As much as I’m in favor of home remedies over harsh chemicals, my advice: go for the Goo Gone and save your time and muscles.
