
Note to self: when feeding ducks at the park, only pack non-moldy bread. Yes, it’s better for the ducks, but more importantly it’s better for your toddler. Sadly, this I learned the hard way.
Our excursion went something like this…One piece of bread for the ducks, one piece of bread for Sophie. When I explained that the bread wasn’t for babies to eat, only for the ducks to eat I was met with a blank stare. And, if you’re wondering, taking bread away from a baby who is really, really, really enjoying feeding the ducks isn’t a good strategy.
Let’s put it this way, I was helping to build my daughter’s immune system. At least that what I keep telling myself.
Oh, yeah, and ducks don’t like almonds, just so you know.
