A pregnant body is an ever changing body. In the beginning, your outward appearance doesn’t really change that much but inside, well that’s a different story. By the time you’re about to give birth, your entire body is wholly different than it was before…and soon to be completely different again after you birth the baby.
And not necessarily back to the way it was to begin with. Frustrating! Talk about the need for a changing wardrobe.
I found this maternity wear rental place online called – you guessed it – RentMaternityWear.com. Now, you have to be a member to rent and membership lasts only 90 days.
It’s not expensive – $20 for a membership – and if you know you’ll only need one fancy dress at the end of your pregnancy, then it’s a pretty good deal. They have a good array of dresses to choose from, but only dresses. I guess they figure you’ll have all the basics already and may only need a special occasion dress, like if you’re going to a wedding or cocktail party.
They ship via FedEx and don’t count time spent in transit as your “rental period.” Looks pretty easy and straight forward. Wish I would have known about this at the beginning of my pregnancy as I’ve been throwing together whatever I can when I actually have to look dressed up. Luckily, it hasn’t been that often!
