Spanx: A Girls Best Friend

Ok, so you’ve visited the dessert table one too many times and find your New Year’s Eve dress staring out, mocking you. As if you can fit in to in now!?! Well, have no fear, Spanx (shown above) is here. And Yummie Tummie. And a few other shapewear items from mavens like Cynthia Rowley.

Today, shapewear is supposedly more comfortable than ever. And beautiful! No more plain jane girdles that your MawMaw wore. I mean, have you seen Cynthia Rowley’s new Slim bodywear? I almost like it more than some dresses – almost. This bra and high-waisted bikini are too cool:

Yummie Tummie also has a Roz Ruffle Tank top that hardly looks like it’s working to hide the muffin top, but it is. Couldn’t you just see this as a stand alone shirt, or even as a layering piece? I wish I owned it.

I found these helpful hints in the San Francisco Chronicle the other day. It’s the easiest way I’ve heard of to drop 10 pounds without doing any work.

So please don’t deprive yourself of the yummies, or better yet, if you DIDN’T deprive yourself and still need to look smashing, get yourself a helping hand with a good undergarment.

Wow I love these photos! Don’t we all look this this glamourous in our tummy control undies?? ;) Too bad they didn’t use models with real-women figures and soft bellies rather than twig-shaped, size zero 19-year-olds.

They do look good. But they are so squashy. I would have the ruffle one in my wardrobe, for when i need to look good and dont mind giving my breath away.
