Swimsuit Tips for the End of Summer

Posted on Aug 23, 2010 by No Comments

Can you believe that summer is almost over? Where did it go? For us recently pregnant moms, shopping for swimsuits is always a hazardous chore. But with the end of summer comes swimsuit sales and I have found some that just might fit the bill.

I found a few great styles at Ann Taylor Loft that seem to be very cute and flattering without being “mawmaw” or in other ways too old looking. Or too young looking. It’s such a hard quest – finding a bathing suit after having children but not yet walking with a cane.

So these at Ann Taylor Loft fit the bill – and they are on sale to boot. Whoo hoo. I personally like the banded shoulder tankini top, shown above, and the twist bandeau top, shown below. Both are on sale for $24.88, reduced from a regular $39.

And, have you heard of the website Everything But the Water? I just found them online and they seem to have a decent selection for just about any swimming whim you have. The best part is that you can search for styles by fit (i.e. tummy hiders, support for various aging parts – no mention of the “droopy” word – and even mastectomy issues).

Now that’s helpful! Like I said, I just found them and they don’t know about me, so this isn’t a paid post or anything. It’s only that baring oneself for summer can be stressful and finding a bathing suit can be like having one’s fingernails ripped off, no?
