I found this lamp via one of my favorite blogs, DesignSponge. The lamp, made by BUDesigns, which if you can’t tell, is the designer’s take on a cheese grater, would look super cool just about anywhere, but especially in a kitchen.

I love the pattern the little grater openings make on the wall and yet, somehow, the whole lamp is pretty simple. Love it!

I wish I had the house for this lamp to go in…it’s just stunning. From BUDesigns (I stumbled on their website and can’t get enough of their stuff!) Since their site is in Latvian I can’t tell you how much it is or even how to get it, but they do have a contact page that might be of use.

The lamp is made of metal and paper – literally paper. Seems a bit like a fire hazard to me, but I’m certain they must have worked all those pesky little details out while they were designing it. Right?
