Well, Valentine’s Day didn’t turn out as planned. No candlelight picnic, no romance. Only the harsh lights of the emergency room and hours of waiting.
In the course of our move my hand was crushed under our platform bed. Now that my right hand is in a cast, I’ve been learning all sorts of new ways to use my left hand. Here is what I’ve learned to do:
1) brushing teeth – not very coordinated, but I do it
2) make a bed
3) use a remote control (this wasn’t so hard)
4) sign my name – it’s closer to an “x” than a name but it’s me
As for everything else, well, lets just say humans have two hands for a reason! Lemme tell you, having a toddler without having two hands is challenging. This is the time moms need an extra hand, not one less.
