The Book Bookshelf by Yann Marte and Nick Hornby of Not Tom is a very unique idea: you recycle your old books, bind them together, and create a neat looking bookshelf out of them. It’s a great way to re-use your worn out books and it’s green.

Not Tom states the concept this way:

The idea for the Book Book Shelf came from the realisation of how many books are discarded on a regular basis. These particular books were to be thrown out at the end of a jumble sale and we wondered what more could be made of them.

Through ingenuity, discarded products like books can take on a whole new life. What better use for an old book than as a support structure for your new ones?
