Two Is The Magic Number

by Kate on July 6, 2010

How many kids does it take to create the ideal family? This is a trick question, right? I mean, nothing can tell me the “best” number of kids to have, least of all a study done on Norwegian men and women.

However, that’s exactly what new research reported in the United Kingdom’s Daily Mail claims: that two children is the best number of kids to have.

Have too few children and you supposedly don’t care about your long term health…why would you, there will be no one around to look after you at the end.

Have too many kids and the emotional and financial headaches will drive you to an early grave. Well, actually that part makes sense.

But two kids. Ahh, two. Two is the magic number, at least according to this research. Maybe because with two kids the parents are not outnumbered? Though I should mention that while parents with two kids are the healthiest, parents with three kids are the happiest.

I guess happiness has nothing to do with health. Go figure.
